Whether your priority is to be part of a large provider network or to save costs, we can help you choose the best health insurance for your situation. Steele Group Insurance partners with leading carriers to provide the best combination of medical coverage options.
Health Maintenance Organizations (HMO)
HMOs tend to have many rules but also tend to be more affordable than other health insurance options. These are managed care plans that offer services through clinics and hospitals contracted with the HMO organization. You are required to see doctors within the network.
Preferred Provider Organizations (PPO)
PPOs are popular for their flexibility, although they can be more expensive. This type of plan lets you visit any doctor in the PPO network at a discounted rate or see a doctor outside of the network for a higher rate.
Exclusive Provider Organizations (EPO)
EPOs combine the flexibility of PPOs and the cost-saving benefits of HMOs. You can visit any primary care provider and you do not need referrals. However, your network will be smaller with an EPO plan.
High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP)
HDHPs typically offer low premiums and higher deductibles. However, HDHPs allow you to use health reimbursement arrangements (HRA) and health savings accounts (HSA) to pay for qualified out-of-pocket medical expenses, lowering the federal taxes you owe.
